Sunflower hearts are the kernels (or inner seeds) of the black sunflower seed. They are bursting with nutrients that help keep wild birds healthy, as well as being a great source of protein and energy. They can be used year-round to provide much needed nutrition for any feathered friends who visit your garden.

Birds find sunflower hearts easier to eat than black sunflower seeds, since they do not have to remove the husks first. This means they provide a cleaner feed, and the birds won't leave the discarded husks around your feeding area. They are a fantastically versatile seed that can be used for ground and table feeding, as well as in hanging seed feeders.

Sunflower hearts are suitable for a huge range of wild birds, including blackbirds, bluetits, bullfinches, goldfinches, sparrows, robins, thrushes and yellowhammers.
