Deer antlers are 100% natural dog treats that are incredibly long-lasting and durable. Unlike other dog treats that are designed to be chewed up and digested, such as paddywack or pizzles, antlers are designed to be used more like a chew toy. Your furry friend will derive hours of pleasure from gnawing at an antler, slowly grinding it down over time. Depending on the size of the antler and your dog's breed and size, you may find that an antler chew lasts your dog weeks or even months at a time!
Antlers are a completely safe treat to give your dog, providing they are supervised and that there is plenty of fresh water available for them. Over time as your dog grinds down the antler, small pieces may become detached and be eaten by your dog. These small pieces are perfectly safe and digestible. Once your dog has ground down their antler to be small enough to swallow it whole, it's time to remove it and replace with a new one.
